Day 1: Hakone Tozan Electric Train – Owakudani – Lake Ashi

🔺Adventure Begins: Hakone Tozan Electric Train ⏱ 1 hour
🚃Departing from Tokyo, take the Odakyu Electric Railway (non-Romancecar limited express requires a transfer at Odawara Station) and journey westward to Hakone Yumoto Station. Then, board the Hakone Tozan Electric Train, weaving through the mountains and embracing the tranquility and mystery of nature.

🔺Awesome Spectacle: Owakudani ⏱ 2 hours
🌋Arriving at Gora, transfer to the mountain cable car and ascend slowly until reaching Hayama. From here, take another cable car to Owakudani. Owakudani is Hakone’s most famous volcanic landscape, with its immense crater and rolling smoke providing a breathtaking sight. However, please be sure to check beforehand if it is closed due to volcanic activity.

🔺Scenic Lake: Lake Ashi ⏱ 2 hours
🚡Returning from Owakudani, take the aerial cable car to Togendai. Subsequently, board the Hakone Pirate Ship to cruise around the beautiful scenery of Lake Ashi. Lake Ashi is serene and deep, surrounded by mountains, with its glittering surface reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and distant peaks.

🔺Leisurely Time: Hakone-cho (Optional) ⏱ 1-2 hours
🏘️After exploring Lake Ashi, return to Hakone-cho. There are numerous hot spring inns and restaurants here. You can soak in a hot spring, taste local cuisine, and enjoy a leisurely time.

🚆Finally, take the electric train from Hakone-cho back to Hakone Yumoto Station, and then transfer to the Odakyu Electric Railway to return to Tokyo. End your day of adventure with full memories and photos.
